After we went grocery shopping at Lassens (our local health food store), my 8-year-old talked me into a McDonald’s Happy Meal. Oh, the joy of hypocrisy — err, parenting. But that’s when we discovered that McD is now mini-sizing the Happy Meal fries. My son claimed he was ripped off, but I’m in favor (especially after watching the flick Super Size Me). I told a friend that the mini-fries would likely make moms pretty happy and she said, “It won’t matter ‘cuz the really good moms don’t take their kids to McDonald’s anyhow.”
