My friend Sofie Sausser just stopped by with this cool belated birthday gift. Sofie contributes eco style blog posts to exurbmagazine and is also writing a book on enviro-friendly gift wrapping. She wrapped this gift in a page from a magazine (great re-use!), with a little green tape and a strip of colorful paper. The wrap looks almost as good as the cute owl necklace she made for me. She’s so talented.

Sofie is also the type of person who goes to flea markets and garage sales and finds the most incredible stuff. Right now I’m trying to convince her that she needs to make haul videos detailing all those incredible treasures she finds. That’s what I do when I’m not writing or reading…I try to convince my friends to make YouTube videos.
